Endurance

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perserverance. Perserverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete."

James 1:2-4

Our group identified some processes of growing in maturity and they are faith, endurance and trials. Rachel shared about having the faith that God will see us through trials and though they may be difficult, He will see us through. This leads us to the next question: to consider it pure joy when we face struggles that demand endurance. Tough rite! This seems like an unlikely attitude for people facing trials and difficult times. How is it possible to experience deep joy while perservering through a difficult experience? Well, God is moulding our character and like what James 1 verse 12 says, "Blessed is the man who perserveresunder trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him."
